MODEL DESCRIPTION
AK RECEIVER TYPES

Eastern European and US made stamped receivers:

This is pretty simple. There are 2 basic receiver specs for all European and US

made std. AK stamped receivers.

Note: these specs do not apply to VEPR, RPK or PSL/FPK.

32mm W X 32mm H or, (1.26”W  X 1.26” H) measured internally

This is what we have found to be the original Russian AKM spec, and found on all

of the current SGL, Saiga and US made receivers.

32mm W X 31mm H or (1.26” W X 1.22” H) measured internally

This is what we have seen in the past, on many of the Romanian, Hungarian and

Maadi stamped receiver AK models.

For proper butt stock fit on your AK, we request this spec from your receiver. This is

really only necessary if you are ordering a set for an Eastern European AK that is not a

Russian made SGL, Saiga, or US made receiver.

Simply note if it is either 32 X 32 (square) or 32 X 31 (wider than taller).

Even if you have a US made receiver, it’s safer to provide this spec to us when you

order.
